Lucinda Goodwin can be found at any local Geelong (AUS) music gig in the photo pit, camera in hand, effervescent smile on face receiving high-fives from many local kids who have come to know her well. Her passion for photography began in 2010 as a fresh-faced 18 year-old watching photographers scramble around in the photo pit at Falls Festival and her talent for capturing live music and the beauty of portrait has become well-known within the Australian music scene. Seven years later, Lucinda is no longer just a local Geelong gal, she’s 25 year-old jet-setting photographer with an impressive belt of accolades to her name
Lucinda completed a Cert 4/Diploma in Photoimaging in 2011/2012 (NMIT/Melbourne Polytechnic) and used all of her spare time photographing national and international acts for a handful of local magazines that were willing to take a chance and put her skills to use as part of their photographic teams.
Lucinda’s work can be described as crisp and warm with a vibrancy that stands on its own. She has a striking talent for capturing magical moments that can only be found with live music, and her love of ‘capturing the moment’ can be found in the emotion that is often dripping from her live shots of performers in their extreme elements.
If not in the pit, you can find Lucinda Working with Local artists on Press Images or filming new videos for her Youtube to help younger music photographers get a leg up in the industry.
