It doesn’t seem that long since we introduced Warren Millar on our site, I guess time flies when you surround yourself with great and positive people, Warren is no exception to this.
We wanted to catch up with Warren and see what epic scenarios and pits he has found himself in.
In his words..
“So what have I been up to the last few months then. Well quite a bit with some really nice gigs to photograph and some exciting things to look forward to in the second half of 2018.
Stand out moment so far would have to be my third very successful Gig Photography workshop at The Studio, Widnes for Fujiholics. Yet another sell out with people attending not just for the first time but also people attending who have been previous workshops. As a side note we had Scarlet playing for us at this workshop a great band who will be playing at the opening Friday night of “Shout About It Live” in August, Not to be missed I’d say.
On to the next half of the year and things are looking really exciting with festival season upon us I’ll be at one of my favourite local festivals “Africa Oye” this month (June 16th and 17th) I’m hoping to be at “Blue Dot Festival” and fingers crossed for “Festival No6” amongst some of the bigger festivals. As mentioned above I’m so excited to be exhibiting at “Shout About It Live” this year in August which I’m sure is going to be awesome. Big news from me is that I have been asked by Fujiholics to talk at Hull International Photography Festival about my gig photography in October alongside such names as Sean Tucker and Tom Stoddart. Then In November I will be holding another Gig Photography workshop for Fujiholics at The Studio with ace band “Yarbo” playing for us and a prize draw on the day for one luck attendee to shoot with me in the press pit at “Afrca Oye” 2019 ! All this and all the smaller gigs and festivals I will be photographing during the summer months.
So its all go here and looking forward to seeing some of you music photographers and music fans at “Shout About It Live” and any other gigs and festivals you may be attending.
Wowza, another great human who isn’t afraid to teach others his little tips, tricks and little bits.
