The special guests have now been announced for what is certain to be spectacular night celebrating one of the most influential evenings in music history; after two years of sell out shows in the Philharmonic’s Music Room, ‘Seafoam Green’s Last Waltz’ returns – this time descending on the iconic Philharmonic Hall – on Friday 16th November.
On 25th November 1976, at the Hinterland Ballroom in San Francisco, ‘The Band’ performed their last ever concert after 16 years on the road. On that fateful night they were joined by some ‘friends’ – Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Muddy Waters, Van Morrison, Dr John, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris & Joni Mitchell to name but a few. The event was filmed by director Martin Scorsese and made into a documentary, released in 1978 and has been hailed one of the greatest concert films ever produced.
40 years later, a collective of some of Liverpool’s finest musicians came together to celebrate its influence and its impact. The night was such a success that two nights were booked for 2017, and it’s happening all again, this time in the Philharmonic Hall’s main room, in association with Mellowtone. The line up includes Phil Campbell (The Temperance Movement), Nick Ellis, Xander & The Peace Pirates, Connie Lush, Robert Vincent and more!
Our photographers will be heading down to the Liverpool event this Friday and we cant wait to capture such a magical evening at the spectacular Philharmonic Hall.
