Midnight North – Jersey Shore

On a cold wintery night at the Jersey Shore, Midnight North continued their East

Coast tour at The Wonder Bar in Asbury Park. As the long winter months roll in a

little of that west coast sound took over this tiny beach bar for the night. They had support from The People’s Blues of Richmond who warmed the crowd up with some southern rock sounds.

Led by song writers Grahame Lesh and Elliott Peck this rock and soul group shined on songs Earthquakes, and Highway Song, adding a little Californian country flair to these originally composed pieces. Lesh the son of Grateful Dead Bass Player Phil Lesh, has put together an amazing group of musicians. This was showcased by Elliot Peck’s vocals on a cover of The Grateful Dead’s Mr. Charlie.

This is a hard working band that is keeping a pure and rich Rock n Roll sound relevant in today’s music. Their songs are very personal, telling stories of the road and longing for home. Listen to their latest album release Under The lights and hear Lesh lead this band through these songs that tell their story.
