The Welsh wizards of pop rock “The Manics” played Manchesters O2 Ritz on Tuesday night (21st May). It’s part of a 12 date U.K. Tour to celebrate the 20th anniversary of “This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours” album. This was their second night at The O2 Ritz.
First up in support was Welsh artist Gwenno with a sweet sound and some nice tunes, it didn’t really matter that she sang in Welsh as she seemed to have the growing crowd captivated with her stage craft and music.
The place was full when at 8.45 on the dot The Manic Street Preachers came on stage to much enthusiasm from the crowd.
With a Welsh Flag draped on the bass amp James Dean Bradford’s voice seemed as good as ever and the Manchester crowd loved every second as the Manics played through the the full “This Is My Truth Tell Me Yours” classic tracks.
All in all it’s safe to say the Welsh wet down a storm in Manchester.
